Harper's 15 Month Update

Harper's 15 Month Stats are:

Weight: 29 lbs 14.1 oz (99%)

Height:  34 3/4 inches (off chart)

Head:  19 inches (96%)

The doctor said she was perfect!  She got two shots that she was not happy about.  Poor girl.  Here are some things Harper is up to these days;

• Of course, walking everywhere and trying to run which has been funny.  She has learned to walk backwards and loves twirling in a circle over and over until she is dizzy.  
• Trying to talk some.  She says "Dada" all the time, says "Mama" only when she is mad or hurt, she says "Eee" for Eden, she has said "bye bye" a few times and that is about it.  I wish she would try talking a little more since she has been throwing some major tantrums lately.
• Harper LOVES singing or her version.  She can hum and sing with the best of them.
• Dancing!!!  This girl can move!  She cracks us up.  She will dance to anything.
• She gives wide open mouth kisses and we LOVE them.  We have been working on giving open arm hugs.  She usually just leans her head into you for hugs.  
• Harper LOVES books!!  She wants me to read just about all day long.  She likes looking at books by herself some, but she brings me book after book and then crawls into my lap to read.  It is so sweet.  
• She has started to show more interest in trash cans which is so gross!
• She has stuck her hand in Eden's open toilet which was disgusting.  I think she has finally lost interest in it for now.
• She reaches and clears tables rather quickly.  The other day she pulled her diaper bag off the kitchen table so she could get her paci and lovie out of it.  
• The girl has really become attached to her paci and lovie since her last hospital stay.  It used to be for bed only or when we had to be out and she was tired.  Now she wants it all the time and I have been trying to get her back to bed only and she DOES NOT LIKE IT and lets me know it=)
• Tantrums.  Wow.  She can throw some doozies.  She has also been hitting Eden for no reason so we are having to work on that.  She also gets very jealous if Eden is in one of our laps or needs are attention...crazy!
• Harper has 16 teeth now.  Hopefully she will have a good teething break before getting her two year molars.
• Harper hates diaper changes right now and having her hair washed which is so random to me.
• Harper can tell you where her nose, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, tongue, chin, belly, belly button, toes, knees, elbows, hand, fingers,  and toes all are.
• She can tell you the animal sounds for a dog, cat, cow, monkey, pig, sheep, bear, lion, and bumble bee.
• Harper is wearing mainly 24 month clothes right now and some long or bigger 18 month.  She is still in a size 6 shoe and size 5 diapers.
• Harper loves baths.  You truly can not mention the word bath unless you are really going to give her one.  Once she hears the word she runs to the bathroom and starts pulling at her clothes to come off.  It is so cute.
• Her favorite foods are: all fruit, cooked carrots, green beans, turkey and cheese sandwiches, waffles, mashed potatoes, chicken, taco soup, chili, spaghetti, beans, banana pudding, oatmeal, and really just about anything.
• Harper really does NOT like: broccoli!!!!! 
• Harper is still signing: more, all done, please, and thank you.
• She has really enjoyed coloring like her big sister.  She thinks she is big stuff!
• She is also really loving all the babies she got for Christmas.  She will hold them and pretend to rock them which is adorable.
• Harper is finally going to bible class without a huge fuss.  I used to get called every Sunday morning to come get her because she would be screaming.  Now I don't get called at all.  I'm wondering if its because she moved up a class and they sit in chairs instead of an exerciser.  I think she was so uncomfortable since she is so tall having to sit or stand in that thing.  Whatever it was she is doing great now!
• Harper loves to laugh.  She loves to be tickled and chased.  She cracks herself up all the time by burping or tooting and then laughing about it.  She thinks its hilarious, especially since Eden laughs about it=)
• Harper is down to one nap a day, which has been great and a little freeing for us.  She is also still a champ at sleeping through the night which I LOVE!
• She LOVES playing with Eden.  When Eden actually wants to play with her, it is the sweetest thing.

Harper, You are such a delight and joy to our family!  You are learning so much these days and it is so much fun watching you explore and try new things.  Your smile brightens our day and your laugh is highly contagious!  We love you so much and continue to thank God for such a wonderful blessing He gave us!
