Eden's Preschool Graduation

 I can't hardly fathom that Eden is old enough to be done with preschool.  Words completely fail me.  We have had the best experience at FSBCP.  The teachers Eden has had that have loved her like their own and taught her so many things and the wonderful friendships Eden has made and I have too with their mommies.  We are going to miss everyone so much.  I am very glad that Harper will get to do Mother's Day Out there next year.  I even threatened Mrs. Becky that she couldn't quit teaching there until Harper has had her and she said she wasn't going anywhere=)

They had the cutest little graduation program today and a reception following it.  The program was patriotic so all the kids wore red, white, and blue.  Eden knew her songs and sang so well today.  I am just so proud of her and the big girl she is becoming.

I honestly can't even tell you how much we are going to miss Mrs. Becky!  God gave her a heart to teach and we could not be more grateful.  She loves each of her students like they are hers and can provide loving discipline when it is needed.  There was not a day that Eden didn't want to go to school and tell Mrs. Becky about something.  Mrs. Becky is already excited to have Harper when her time comes=)

We got this picture from Mrs. Becky while we were waiting in the auditorium for the program with a text that read: "My precious beautiful kiddos....one last time=("  Mrs. Becky was always great to send pictures of the kids during the week.  She also gave Eden a picture album of all the pictures she had taken of her from this past year.  It was the sweetest thing and there are a TON of pictures of Eden and all of her friends.

My Little Graduate!!

We will definitely miss all of Eden's great teachers and friends but we are looking forward to meeting a lot of new people when she starts kindergarten.  It is kind of unusual but Eden and all of her close girl friends are all zoned for 5 different elementary schools=(  We will definitely have to work a little harder to get the girls together and keep them connected and I likewise with their mommies who I have become close too.  I have heard only wonderful things about the elementary school Eden is zoned for and I went to a meeting the other day and I am thrilled with all of the exciting things they are planning and doing there.  I think it is going to be GREAT!

Mother's Day

 Mother's Day was pretty low key around here which is just how I like it.  We went to church and then my parents met us for lunch at Macaroni Grill and then we got to hang out together all afternoon.  I even got to do a little shopping with my mom for a few hours.   I bought a new pair of shoes=)  My parents even stayed for dinner which was nice.  The girls LOVE playing with J. Pops and Mimi.  They both played tennis with Eden and rode bikes with her (in the street, which is HUGE and hard for me to do with Harper).

Eden made the cutest and sweetest thing at school for me and I will have to post a picture of it soon.  They even made muffins for us which was adorable!  

God has made me a mom to these two beautiful girls and I am beyond blessed!!!!  He also gave me a wonderful mom to look up too and learn from and a great mother-in-law too!  I am very blessed!

Strawberry Picking

 Last week the girls and I went to Mountain High Berry Farm to pick strawberries.  We drove to Cabot and filled our buckets up.  The girls and I had a great time picking the strawberries.  Really, Eden and I picked and Harper ate them and ran up and down the rows.  The girls were covered in strawberries from eating them.  We picked the very best strawberries and they are DELICIOUS!!!!  They are so sweet and yummy!  I could eat a whole bucket myself;)  After we drove home, I cleaned them all and froze almost all of them for us to enjoy.  It definitely filled our day.

 Eden was the best helper and picked a bunch of strawberries.  She begged me to go pick strawberries so we went.  She loved it!

Cinco De Mayo Party

Our church class had a Cinco de Mayo Party out at Pinnacle Mountain and it was so much fun.  The kids got to play and run around on the playground until our catered mexican food arrived and then we had a wonderful meal all together.  The desserts were awesome too!  Thanks to Kelly Bittle and Amy Breeding for planning it for us all.  We had such a fun time with everyone and can't wait until our next class get together.

 Kelly and Amy had decorated the tables with sombreros and balloons.  Well they didn't last too long on the tables=)  They were great fun and entertainment for the kiddos.

Mele Kalikimaka: Eden's First Ballet Recital

Eden had her very first dance recital on May 3rd, 2013 at Robinson Center Music Hall.  It was one of the most precious things I have ever witnessed.  I can't recall ever going to a dance recital before.  Neither Lindsay or I did dance so I don't think I have ever been to one.  If you have never been I highly recommend it.  It is one of the cutest things ever to watch little girls dance (which is always funny because something silly always happens) and then for the little girls to get to watch the big girls dance and sit in "Ahhhh" of them is really sweet.  Eden LOVED being on stage and she said she was never nervous at all.

The owner, Mrs. Andrea, of the studio that Eden takes at and who happens to be her teacher decided since they don't do a Christmas recital that she would do Christmas in May.  It was a really cute idea and I think everyone enjoyed doing it.  Eden's class got to dance to the Hawaiian Christmas song- Mele Kalikimaka.  They had the cutest little routine and then came out for the finale.  Eden was front and center for both.  Michael and I both could not be any prouder of her.  She knew what she was doing, she had fun, and tried her very best and that's all we could ask.

I really think Eden has great natural talent when it comes to dance and gymnastics.  This might have been her first and last dance recital.  She is and has been begging to go back to gymnastics so that's were she is going next.  She misses the tumbling and flipping on the bars and what not=)  We will see what she ends up deciding when dance starts back up in the fall.  She loved doing the recital part but I think she didn't quite love the structure of ballet classes, ha;)
