Michael looking really small compared to some of the trees around there.
Most of the root system for the trees are very superficial.
After a while, we caught a bus over to the town of Hoonah. It is a little town where some of the Tlingit Tribe people live. They really live off the land and the sea, true Alaskan natives.
Town of Hoonah.
A fresh crab that was about to be boiled for lunch;)
A cute little church there.
There were eagles EVERYWHERE in Hoonah, probably because of all the fishing that is done there.
Eagle nests are huge! This nest was right across the street from the elementary school there.
There were fifteen to twenty eagles at a time here on this little coast line. CRAZY!
The Tlingit people are known for their totem poles and carvings.
We tried to pick up a random bear excursion in Hoonah but the guys couldn't find anymore people wanting to go so we missed out again on seeing a bear. This day was pretty relaxing.
