Earthquake

I just wanted to remember my first earthquake.  I have always wanted to feel an earthquake, not a strong one but I was always curious as to what it could possibly feel like.  Well my first one happened on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at 10:53 pm.  Michael and I were home with Harper watching all the football games (Eden was at my parents for the weekend) and we were sitting in separate chairs in our living room and we both felt our chairs swaying.  We looked at each other and asked if the other's chair was moving and we both said yes.  After a few seconds we realized it must have been an earthquake and then Facebook and the news confirmed it.  Michael was holding Harper in his arms when it happened.  The three of us all felt our first earthquake together.

The earthquake was centered in Sparks, Oklahoma and was a magnitude 5.6.  It truly was the weirdest feeling.  Michael felt another one on Sunday night but I was at Wal-Mart and didn't feel it.

Halloween Night

For Halloween night we went Trick or Treating with the Keim's, Vick's. and Bittle's.  We all met up at the Bittle's house because their neighborhood goes way out for Halloween.  All the houses have great Halloween decorations and tons of them give out candy.  It was so much fun.  There were people EVERYWHERE.  There were even parents pulling trailers of kids with their four wheelers around the neighborhood.  All ages were dressed up too, which was fun to see.  The kids had a blast going door to door.  I loved watching Eden say "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You" for everything she got.  Halloween has been so much fun this year.

Michael carved this Ariel pumpkin for Eden.  We could not find a Belle stencil anywhere so Eden chose this one.  She LOVED it.

One last picture before going to bed. The Halloween activities are finally over. I think they lasted for two weeks it seemed like.  Eden had so much fun and she loved being Belle.  She had said last year right after being a cowgirl for Halloween that she wanted to be Belle next year and she never changed her mind.  I couldn't believe it and I kept expecting her to change it but she never did.  She had her mind set and she made a beautiful Belle.  What a beautiful princess!

PVCC Kiddie Karnival

Our church does a Kiddie Karnival for Halloween instead of a Trunk or Treat and this was our first year to go.  Jeff, Sarah, Lydia, and Jack Henry met us there and the girls had a blast.  They have a bunch of little games or activities for the kids to do to get candy.  They also had face painting and a blow up slide for the kids.

Eden getting her face painted.  She wanted a butterfly.  It didn't last long though.  The poor girl who painted it didn't dry off the brush after rinsing it between colors so it ran off Eden's face.  It was a mess, but it was cute for the two seconds it lasted;)

After the Karnival we all went to eat at Jason's Deli.  We had a great night and the girls had so much fun together and loved showing off their costumes.  

"Annie"

Two weekends ago, my mom had invited Eden to go see "Annie" that Harding was putting on for Homecoming weekend.  Well she wouldn't go up to Searcy without Michael and I (she is still pretty clingy since having Harper) so we all went to Searcy for one night.  Eden and I went to the play with my mom and Lindsay.  The play was pretty good but it didn't start until 8 pm so Eden was very tired by the time intermission rolled around.  She made it through the play and then ended up not going to bed until around midnight.  She was EXHAUSTED!  She had never seen the movie but now she loves it.  She loves Annie and Sandy (the dog).  By the way, "Annie" used to be my favorite movie growing up and I used to see all the songs all the time.  Now Eden is singing them.  It's so cute.

We had to get back on Saturday for our churches Kiddie Karnival.  Eden couldn't wait to get back and get into her costume.

First Field Trip

 Eden had her first field trip the week before Halloween.  They went to Mary's Pumpkin Patch and we all had an awesome time.  We got to ride a hay ride and a train, play on a swing set, jump in a bounce house, pick a pumpkin, pet animals, and much more.  I had a great time finally getting to meet the other moms and putting faces with the names of the kids Eden comes home talking about all the time.  Michael stayed home that morning with Harper so Eden and I could have some one on one time.  She was so excited that I was there and would not leave my side=)

 Halfway through the hayride they stop and let you out and you can go and do a maze and climb up in a tree house.  It is really neat.

 The tree house over looks the maze so if you get stuck someone can help you out if they want to.

 Eden wanted to go through the maze and do it all by herself with out any help from me.  I just followed her.  And she did it all by herself fairly quickly.

For my memory:  As of right now, Eden talks about and plays a lot with Ava, Katie, Lyla, and Ella.  We had a great time that morning together and Eden was very tired by the end of it from running around with all of her classmates.

Zoo Day

 On a Wednesday afternoon, Michael took off work and we all went to the Little Rock Zoo.  It was a gorgeous, warm day and we had the zoo to ourselves which was kind of crazy.  I had never been before and we had a great time.  Eden, of course, loved it.  She loves animals and enjoyed walking around and seeing them ALL!!!  I did too=)

 The giraffes were a big hit for Eden.  

 We enjoyed watching this tiger playing in the water.  He went and played in the waterfall, towards the back of the picture, which Eden thought was funny.

Harper's view of the zoo.  She slept the entire time in the sling while we walked around for hours.  We had the best afternoon all together and we were thankful Michael took off for the afternoon so we could hang out.

Gymnastics Halloween Party

For gymnastics the week before Halloween, the kids could wear their costumes and then they had a little party.  Eden wanted to wear her Belle dress, which ended up coming off half way through the obstacle course.  She and the other girls looked so cute.  They all had a lot of fun in their costumes.

I had to throw in a picture of Harper, of course.  Thank you, Aunt Terry and Uncle Joe, for the cute outfit.
