Harper at 2 Months Old

Harper was two months old on Dec. 3rd, 2011.  She had her two month doctor's appointment on Monday the 5th.  Here are her stats:

Weight:  14 lb. 11 oz. (99%)
Height:   24 1/2 inches (98%)
Head circ: 15 3/4 inches (80%)

Harper is a big girl.  Harper was two inches longer and two pounds heavier that Eden was at her two month appointment.  We always get asked how old she is and when we say two months everyone always says, "Wow, she is big."  Ha.  She is definitely healthy.  The doctor said she looked great and was growing like a weed.  He did find an ear infection looking her over so she started an antibiotic for that.  I hope she doesn't end up having a ton of them like Eden.  I guess we will just have to watch her closely.

Harper is so smiley these days and loves her floor time.  She is so content laying on the floor just looking around and kicking her legs like crazy.  She can do this for hours.  She loves to have us talk to her and she will talk back.  We all love hearing her "coo" and "goo" at us.  Eden gets so excited and says "Harper is talking to me!"  She loves that Harper is starting to respond to her more.  Eden just told me today, "Mom, I'm glad we have a baby."  So sweet.  Harper is sleeping fairly well at night.  Usually from 11:30 pm to 6-6:30 am solid, which I am very thankful for but is still not quite enough sleep for this mommy.  I need my eight hours and I'm just not getting it.  Oh well.  Hopefully it will be soon.  Harper is still not a fan of her car seat.  She screams the majority of the time until she exhausts herself to sleep.  Just this week she has started wearing 3-6 month clothes because of her long torso.  I can't believe it.  Eden was true to size the whole first year so this moving up early is kind of throwing me off a little:)  Harper is still eating like a champ and the reflux medicine and adding rice to her bottles is still helping a ton.

Harper smiling big.

Harper's first bath off the sling.  She likes sitting up SO much better.

We had our first snow last week.  Eden was so excited but it was a school day for her so she couldn't stay home and play.

The following pictures are a few of Harper's expressions.  I love them ALL!

Her biggest smile is open mouth and eyes almost closed.  So sweet.

 "OOOOOoooo"

So beautiful. Right now her eyes are looking bluer and bluer but I'm not sure they will stay that way.  I would love it if they did though.

We had a Christmas party with Michael's work one night and Granna, Grandmother, and Aunt Dee watched the girls while Betty ran errands with Brian.  In the picture they had just gotten there and Betty, Grandmother, and Aunt Dee were making Harper smile so big.  They all got a kick out of her.

A little picture of our family in front of our tree.

 Michael with his girls.

Love, Love, Love this picture of Harper.

Eden is starting to style and do her own hair.  She is getting pretty good with the clips.  I'm sure it won't be long before she starts braiding;)

These next pictures melt my heart.  Eden was talking and singing to Harper and Harper was lighting up. Harper could not have been any happier looking at her older sister and watching her.  They are so cute together.

Eden is such a little momma.  She will be the best mom someday.  She is so good with Harper.  She will get her paci or try soothing her by talking or singing to her and most of the time it works.  It really amazes me sometimes.  I can't wait to watch their relationship grow.

Jingle Bell Run 2011

We participated in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk again this year.  Our good friends, the Keim's, little girl was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was younger and now she is in remission after years of treatment.  We have walked in her honor for several years and we always have a great time.  They always have a big team and get everyone involved in it.  Eden always enjoys getting to see Santa and this year was no different.  The weather was great this year.  It wasn't too cold so we could all go and do it together.

Eden spotted Santa immediately and ran over to him and gave him the biggest hug.  She then proceeded to tell him her long Christmas list.

Not exactly sure what Eden is doing here.

The majority of the kids that were there with the "Hannah's Helpers" team.  Hannah is in the red dress.

 Our family picture.

Eden spotted Santa again and ran over to him.

Harper's first Santa experience.  She didn't mind him so much this year.

Our smiley little gift this year.  We LOVE her so much!  She is such a blessing to our family.

Charlie's Here

Charlie, Eden's elf, came on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 3rd.  She was so excited to see him.  He even wrote Harper and Eden a letter and left them some goodies (books and a gingerbread house).  He is the nicest elf ever.  Eden loves to wake up every morning and look for him.  She has struggled a few times.  He hides himself pretty good sometimes;)  Charlie even made "Snow Rolls" for us for breakfast.  They were so good.  He knew Eden didn't like powdered donuts.  He definitely has been making the mornings better for us.  Eden actually wants to get out of bed and look for him.  Not sure what we will do when he has to return to the North Pole.  He will be missed by all;)

This is where Charlie decided to land for his first night, in a vacant, undecorated tree.

His letter and goodies for the girls.

Eden's wonderful "snow roll" from Charlie.

I love Eden's excitement when she spotted Charlie.  She could not have been happier.

Cute Pictures

The other day I caught Eden laying beside Harper and holding her hand.  It was so sweet.  I can't wait until they can truly play together.

My little Indian in her costume from school.  So cute.

I love this little turkey hand print and it's saying.  Eden was so proud to show it to me.

Sleeping Beauty in her car seat.  This rarely happens but it does after she has screamed herself to sleep.

Trying to catch another smile.  She gets distracted easily looking at the camera and stops.

****There are five new posts so if you want to read them all you will have to go back to older posts because there are so many pictures.

Thanksgiving #3

Saturday evening we had the Clay family Thanksgiving get together.  We had a wonderful time seeing everyone and eating another fantastic meal.  The four older girls had a blast together and played upstairs pretty much non stop after eating.  I love that Eden is old enough to go play on her own now.  They were dancing and playing a little dress up.  They were so cute.  I love getting to see everyone and can't wait to spend even more time over Christmas with them all.

Grandmother snagged Harper when we first walked in.  I would say Harper was pretty comfortable=)

We were trying to get her to wake up so she would sleep that night.  She didn't really want to though.

Lydia loving on Harper.  She loves to give her kisses just like Eden does.  Eden and Lydia are both great big sisters.

Granna had to get her hands on her next.

Jack Henry and Eden are three months apart.  They will be close just like Lydia and Eden are.  I can't wait to watch them grow up together.

Harper looking adorable in her turkey shirt.  Jack Henry shared his bouncy seat while we were over there.  What a nice boy, starting his manners early;)

The girls striking a pose.  So fun!

We finally convinced Lydia to get in the picture.  These girls have a blast together.  I can't wait until we do it again at Christmas.

We had a wonderful week filled with lots of family that we love.  God has blessed us so richly and we are very thankful for all He has given us.

ThanksChristmas

Like I said before, we ended up doing Christmas at my parents house because we won't be all together at Christmas.  We opened gifts on Wednesday evening.  The kids were so excited and kept asking when they could open every thing.
Eden and J. David sitting in front of the tree anxiously waiting to open gifts.

Eden got some princess cookie cutters from my parents.  She will love putting these to use soon.

Holding up some of the cutters.

My sister and Harley waiting patiently for their turn;)

 J. David showing off the cape he got.  Eden has one too and loves it.

Harper's very first Christmas gift ever was Sophie the Giraffe.  She loves it!!!

Michael got some ties and shirts from everyone.

Myles climbing up on his big gift.  He couldn't sit still and found his way on top of it.

We gave Myles some trucks and he loves them.  So glad they will get lots and lots of use.  All the kids played with them the rest of the week.

Eden wearing a bow Aunt Jamie tied around her head.

 Michael being silly.

 Eden opening a puzzle.

 Myles and his adorable smile.

Harper showing off her new swimsuit and baby doll she got.

Harper smiling big at the shiny red bow.

Eden wearing the shiny red bow=)

 Modeling her new apron.

My dad finally got to open his birthday/Christmas gift.  We all got him the new Kindle Touch.  He loves it.  I'm thinking it may be time for me to update;)  Ha.  I have loved mine ever since they first came out and were three times the price.  One of the best gifts I ever got.  Hope dad enjoys his like I do mine.

We had a great Christmas and will miss seeing everyone at Christmas.
