Iphone Catch Up from August

These are all pictures from my Iphone.  August has been a busy month and we have had lots of fun.  Both girls keep us laughing almost nonstop and keep us very busy=)

Harper wearing socks that big sister put on her.  They were kind of cute though;)

My two little princesses!  Love them both a TON!!

Harper got her first little ponytail on July 27th.  Isn't it cute?

Eden is definitely my little movie star/fashionista.  Love her.

If Eden ever gets a bath and Harper isn't in it with her then she is "helping".  She is always wherever Eden is.

Michael and Harper playing around on the floor.

On July 30th, Eden jumped off the diving board for the first time.  She did it over and over again.  She is doing really good swimming too.  Now if I could get her to just raise her head to get a breath instead of trying to stand up every time she runs out of air;)

Harper LOVES Harley.  They love to play with each other and Harley is so gentle with her.

Eden accessorizing, ha.

Crazy bedhead!

Harper playing the piano.  This girl loves her some music just like her older sister.

Sephora fun with Aunt ZiZi!

Michael and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on Aug. 3rd.  We went to a nice dinner and a movie.

Harper got stung by a bee two times while we were swimming at the Beggs'.  She cried for a minute and then was fine.  The inflammation was down after a couple hours and then you could only see the tiny dots where she was poked=(

Eden reading to Harper.  Eden can be really sweet to Harper most of the time.

Eden had her last gymnastics class:(  I'm kind of sad because it came very naturally to her but she insisted she wanted to do ballet this year so she starts that in September.  I hope she loves it as much as gymnastics.

Harper is all over the place now.  She of course is crawling everywhere and pulling up and cruising all things.  She enjoys walking while you hold her hands.  She LOVES making a mess and pulling all things out=)

On August 9th, Harper got tubes put in her ears.  She has had so many ear infections and running such high fevers and on so many antibiotics with them that we decided to get her tubes and we are hoping they last as long for her as they did with Eden and that she will never have another one.  So far they have done great, yay!

I took Harper by myself and we are just hanging out in pre-op waiting for her to go on back.

This just cracks me up.  Eden put her hands up on Harper and she said, "Look mom, she's a deer." Hahaha.

Eden drew me some flowers while we were at IHOP one night.  Love her drawings.

Harper getting some straw practice.  She can drink from a straw like crazy but a regular sippy cup she can not get very well at all.  We are working on it so hard;)
Harper's way of "giving a hug".  She puts her head down on you and snuggle.  The absolute sweetest thing in the world.

She is starting to find the bathroom very interesting, yuck!

We were out to eat with my parents one night and Eden grabbed this napkin and put it up around her neck and said, "Look, I'm Snow White."  We died laughing.

On August 11th, we turned Harper facing forward.  I know, I know...She isn't one yet but I happened to look at the booklet and she was way over the poundage for facing backwards.  It said up to twenty pounds or one year old for this particular seat and she was 27 lbs.  So we flipped her around and she has LOVED it.
Yay!!!!  I can see!!!!

Lindsay's Pinning

My sister is going to be a nurse!!!  She just graduated from Arkansas State University and got her BSN in nursing.  She finished up their one year program at the end of July and I was able to go up for her pinning on a Friday night.  If you don't know, when you finish your class work you get pinned by another nurse and it is a special ceremony every nurse has gone through.  Well my mom got to pin Lindsay and pin her special school pin on her.  My mom was giddy that she got to do that=)  They had a catered meal that night and a special ceremony.  My parents and I got to spend the night in Lindsay's townhouse too.  It's really cute.  Since graduating she accepted an emergency room position at St. Bernard's there in Jonesboro.  She will make a great ER nurse.  The next step for her is to just pass her NCLEX test.

All of us before dinner.

My mom pinning Lindsay.  The teacher in the blue also taught mom at Harding.  What a small world right?

 Lindsay's nursing class.

Lindsay with Uncle Joe and Aunt Terry who made it that night too.  Julia was there too somewhere.

Most of the girls in her class.  They were all really close just like you have to be to survive nursing school=)

I'm so proud of Lindsay and all she has done.  I can't wait to see what a fantastic nurse she will become and all that she is going to learn and do.  Love you, Lindsay!!!!

Lake House Fun 2012

This year's vacation was to the Crumbaugh's (Jamie's parents) lake house in Cuba, MO.  They graciously let our entire family use it for a week, that included the pontoon boat and jet ski too.  We had such a good time together hanging out and playing.  We missed Lindsay a ton!!!!  She is about to graduate from Nursing school and was a little too busy to drive that far just for a weekend.  We fished, swam, jet skied, boated, floated, ate, played games, slept, and my parents even rode their bikes.  Michael was able to go this year and that was AWESOME!  I am so glad he was there to help out with both girls and that he could take a much needed break.  Last year I was pregnant with Harper while I was at the lake, so this year I got to live it up on the jet ski and loved it.  Jamie is the pregnant one this year so she didn't get to have as much fun as the rest of us but she was a good sport.  Jamie and my mom helped out a lot with Harper allowing me to swim or jet ski a little more often, THANK YOU=) We had a great time but there were a few hiccups for our family that week.

First our parked van got hit by a garbage truck that was reversing down the street.  It punctured the back tire and scraped and dug holes along the drivers side.  The left sliding door does not open so Eden has to crawl under Harper's seat to get into the van.  While there, we had to get two new tires to get home.  Second, Thursday night Harper did not sleep.  She woke up about 11:45 pm (when Michael and I finally got into bed from playing games) and did not got back to sleep until 6:45 am.  Every single time she would close her eyes or start relaxing she would scream bloody murder and push off of me so I spent the entire night downstairs with Harper exhausted and screaming.  NOT fun at all.  I was so irritated and had no idea what to do because I just knew everyone could hear her screaming (turns out they couldn't, thank goodness).  When she finally cried herself to sleep at 6:45 am, she woke up two-three hours later and Michael took her and I slept until noon.  I took her temperature when I woke up and she had a fever so off to a doctor in Missouri.  She had a double ear infection so we picked up her prescription and headed back to the lake house.  Poor girl was miserable.  That was the extent of our hiccups and thank goodness nobody was hurt in the accident or Harper wasn't worse off.  Enjoy the tons of pictures below.....

Eden and Michael with her first fish caught that week.  She likes to reel them in and not so much the waiting game.  She would say, "Let me know when you catch one so I can reel it in."

Harper eating rice and chicken, yum!

I LOVE this picture.  All set and ready to swim!

Eden and J. David jumping off the side of the dock.  Eden got pretty brave this week and was doing a lot of things in the water and jumping from pretty high.  So proud of her.

Michael and Myles on the big raft and J. David and Eden floating on the green one.

My parents are on the jet ski saying hi to Eden and JD.

Eden LOVED the jet ski this year.  She rode it every day and had so much fun.  She likes going FAST!

 The guys fishing one night.

 Cuddle time in the recliner.

 Breakfast on the pontoon boat.

 Harper and Myles driving.

 Eden driving.

Swimming on one of the days.

Love this picture.  Myles was pretending to drive the jet ski.  He is the cutest little thing.

Eden and Myles sharing the recliner.

The kids waiting patiently in the golf cart to be driven down to the docks.  It's not far at all=)

Aren't these two so sweet???  By the end of the week, they both knew which buttons to push to irritate each other.  They crack us up!

 J. David, Myles, and I after picking up the blocks.

 Michael and Myles horsing around!!

 J. Pops and Mimi with their grandchildren, except for Camden who is in Aunt Jamie's belly;)

This is how Eden rolls on trips.  Head phones on, watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates, her favorite.

So funny.... Myles, open mouthed, wanting some of his mommy's ice cream but she wasn't sharing, ha.

The measly little catfish I caught one night and it was bigger than the rest of the guys that night;)

A picture of some of the van damage.

 Quite time on the iPhones.

 Morgan with his boys.

Route 66 goes right through Cuba so we had to get our picture taken on Route 66.

Out to eat on Wednesday night.

 Harper in her little pool.

We got to see the world's largest rocking chair.  It is pretty big.

 Eden being Eden.

Harper building with the boys.  She LOVED these blocks.

We had such a wonderful time and thank the Crumbaugh's so much for letting use their place to get together.
